The Hackney Martian

A play on the location ‘The Hackney Marshes’, the story centres on a boy who finds a small green martian, crash-landed on the famous football common, and so begins an exciting journey of friendship and daring adventure!

In true Indiana Jones style, to help his new-found friend, the boy must embark on a dangerous and epic quest through the sewers under the streets of the capital to the Tower of London, avoiding giant raven birds and guards to find the one special ingredient that will power the martian’s spaceship and return his friend home – diamonds!

The Hackney Martian is a warm tale of friendship, teamwork and camaraderie set against the backdrop of the city of London.
